Egypt has striven to reduce its Maternal Mortality Rates (MMR) in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.1, which aims to reduce MMR globally to less than 70 per 100,000 live births by 2030. Between 2001 and 2023, Egypt’s MMR declined gradually from 69 to 41 women per 100,000 live births (CAPMAS, 2023). This Investment Case aims to highlight the benefits of investing more in family planning and high-impact maternal health interventions as a powerful way to build a more sustainable future for Egypt.
