The National Population and Development Strategy (2023-2030) presented the achievements in the areas of education, women’s empowerment, and investment in human resources (youth, adolescents, and the elderly). It highlighted the challenges and opportunities, primarily emphasizing the prevailing supportive political will for population issues in all their dimensions. Additionally, it also referred to the launch of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family in February 2022.
This updated strategy benefited from previous experiences in preparing the National Population and Development Strategy (2015-2030), lessons learned from the review and evaluation of the execution plan (2015-2020), and recent changes in the demographic situation in Egypt. This process aimed to achieve consensus on the general framework of the National Population and Development Strategy (2023-2030), including its main and sub-goals and proposed strategic interventions. This contributes to creating favorable conditions for developing the required execution plan, serving as a starting point for achieving the desired objective.
