Cairo.- Y-PEER Egypt organized a three-weeks Edutainment campaign in 6 governorates, in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Population – Adolescents’ Health Unit and with the support of the H & M fund provided through the Arab States Regional Office. The campaign took place between  4-25 December 2010 and it reached more than 15,000 young people in Cairo, Alexandria, Aswan, Qena, Ismailia and Marsa Matruh.

The campaign focused on in-school young people to raise their awareness about health issues, including their Reproductive Health. Y-PEER used innovative educational tools, such as the use of interactive comics where young people are able to make their choices of the characters behavior and then learn about the different messages targeted.

“This campaign has provided a lot of learning opportunities for everyone participating in it, and has shown us many windows of opportunity in investing in young people”, said Ahmed Malah, the UNFPA programme associate.
