A series of 3-day trainings took place at the Reproductive Health Research and Training Institute in Alexandria on September 26.

The training contributes to strengthen the human capital as well as reinforces the role of quality data in the project. It is one of the project's interventions to develop a rigorous monitoring system to follow up and review the progress of implementation, identify gaps and support targeted interventions.

The trainings targeted data entry personnel from 92 NGOs in 10 governorates.

The training comes under the EU Support to Egypt’s National Population Strategy outcome related to the demand side. More specifically, it relates to the strategy’s establishment of marriage databases, birth registers, other relevant databases linked with family planning delivery points.

The training also comes in the course of partnership between UNFPA and the Ministry of Social Solidarity and under the Population and Development Integration in Poverty Reduction Programme (Takaful Beneficiaries).

The Ministry of Social Soildarity’s Takaful income support program benefits 9.4 million individuals in Egypt.
