The Ministry of Health and Population's Family Planning Sector, in partnership with UNFPA, and with the support of the European Union in Egypt, launched a family planning campaign in nine governorates around Egypt in March 2021.
The campaign covered the governorates of Alexandria, Assiut, Beni Suef, Cairo, Daqahleya, Fayoum, Giza, Kafr al-Sheikh and Minya. It offered free family planning and reproductive health services, including free medication through fixed and mobile clinics, public and central hospitals, and maternal and child health centers.
