Guided by a 2025 theme, “The Race to 2030: Accelerating Action to End Female Genital Mutilation”, the report underscores the urgency of intensifying collective efforts. Governments, civil society, community and religious leaders, women’s and youth-led organizations, and survivors must work together to eliminate FGM and safeguard hard-won gains. With only a few years remaining to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target 5.3, on ending FGM, the pace and scale of action must increase significantly.
