The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Egypt, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) and under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Health and Population, organized the Second Scientific Conference entitled: “Reproductive Health, Challenges and Future Visions", during the period 19-20 December, 2012.  The conference was attended by all MOHP Decision Makers, UN Resident Coordinator, some UN Representatives, USAID Director of Health and Population, as well as the majority of RH professionals from academia and other institutes. UNFPA attributed a great importance to this conference as it initiated the road map for identifying the Ministry's cooperation priorities with UNFPA within the framework of the forthcoming country programme 2013-2017, and promoted as well a rich dialogue among participants who discussed potential future challenges and reviewed the Ministry's visions in the area of reproductive health and family planning issues, in addition to reproductive health rights theme. On the other hand, the two-day event shed lights on most significant results of researches and studies that were conducted in 2012, through the projects that were implemented by UNFPA in joint cooperation with Government and Non-Government organizations in the area of reproductive health and family planning; youth and adolescents health; as well as HIV/AIDS prevention.
